Submit a new work permit request using the prescribed form.
- Health Examination: Provide a valid health examination certificate issued either in a foreign country and legalized, or in Vietnam, following the list provided by the Ministry of Health with a validity period of 12 months.
- Legal Records: Present legal records issued either in a foreign country and legalized, or in Vietnam, following the regulations of the Ministry of Justice.
Work Permit is a document issued by the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs for foreign individuals to work in Vietnam.
The content on a Work Permit typically includes 10 basic sections:
- Full name of the foreign worker.
- Gender.
- Date of birth
- Nationality and passport number.
- Place of work (organization or company).
- Workplace address.
- Job position: manager, specialist, etc.
- Job title.
- Duration of employment.
- Status: New issuance/renewal/renewal for the nth time.

In order for foreign workers to work in Vietnam for an extended period, it is mandatory for them to obtain a work permit. - Expert Confirmation: Provide a document confirming expertise, which must be legally authenticated. This document typically includes evidence of at least 3 years of relevant work experience, academic credentials, transcripts, etc.
- Photos: Submit two color photos (size: 4cm x 6cm, white background, looking straight ahead, head uncovered, no colored glasses) taken within the last 6 months from the date of application.
Copy of Passport: Provide a photocopy of the passport's information page.
(*) Note: For documents in languages other than Vietnamese, they must be legalized, translated into Vietnamese, and authenticated.

According to the provisions of Article 12 of Decree 102/2013/NĐ – CP by the Government regarding the implementation of some provisions of the Labor Code concerning foreign workers in Vietnam:
1. At least 15 working days before the foreign worker is expected to commence work with the employer, the employer must submit a work permit application to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs where the foreign worker is expected to work.
2. Within 10 working days from the date of receiving a complete application dossier, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall issue a work permit for the foreign worker according to the form prescribed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. If a work permit is not granted, the reasons shall be stated in writing.
